Dragons Calm the Storm in 3-1 Road Victory

The Tiffin University (15-12, 9-7 G-MAC) volleyball team kept the win streak alive after defeating Lake Erie 3-1 on the road for its fourth-straight victory.

The Dragons got off to a quick start, taking an early 4-0 lead in the first set. The Storm chipped away at the deficit and pulled to within two at 12-10. That is as close as they came, however, as Tiffin powered ahead with a 13-6 run to end the set.

Set number two was the closest of them all despite the Dragons jumping out to a 9-1 advantage. TU extended the lead to as many as 10 at 23-13 before Lake Erie began to once again fight its way back into the match. The Storm cut the lead to just 24-22 before Tiffin closed out the set to earn a 2-0 lead for the match.

Lake Erie was able to capture set number three, but the Dragons bounced back in the fourth and final set, leading from start to finish.

Kenedi Goon ended with a team-high 13 kills and added six digs. She was followed by Taylor Peterson with 10 and Wakaya Wilson with nine. Wilson also led the Dragons in digs with nine as well. Addison Conti racked up 30 assists and contributed seven kills.

Alivia Rew finished with eight total blocks for the second match in a row, tying her season high.

The Dragons will now head to Ursuline for their final road matchup of the season on Saturday, November 4th,  before returning home to face Hillsdale and Northwood.
