Dragons Suffer Defeat to Rival Findlay on Home Court

The Tiffin University (11-11, 5-6 G-MAC) volleyball team battled its bitter-rival, Findlay, in a return to conference action, falling to the Oilers 3-0.

Despite having its lowest scoring output in the first set, it was the Dragons' best set offensively as they tallied 12 kills on .235% hitting. TU fell behind early as Findlay jumped out to an early 10-3 lead. Unable to chip away at the deficit, the Oilers took a 1-0 lead for the match.

The second set was the most competitive of the three as Tiffin hung with the opposition and was tied at 15 halfway through the set. A 10-3 run by UF to end the set earned it a commanding 2-0 advantage.

The third set was more of the same as tied at 12, the Oilers once again strung together a long run of seven consecutive points to take control once again.

Leading the way in kills for the Dragons was Kenedi Goon with seven followed closely by Josie Reinhart with six while Alivia Rew and Wakaya Wilson each had four. Setters Addison Conti and Clare Kwiatkowski combined for 24 assists with Conti tallying a team-high 14.

Defensively, the Goon posted four total blocks while Rew ended with three. Olivia Karhoff finished with 13 total digs followed by Reinhart with seven.

TU is back on the road as it travels to Thomas More for its first matchup against the Saints on Tuesday, October 24th at 6 p.m.
