Tiffin University (9-6, 4-3 G-MAC) matched up against the Trojans of Trevecca Nazarene for the second time this season, earning a convincing 3-1 (22-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-14) victory.

Similar to the day before against Kentucky Wesleyan, the Dragons got off to a slow start with Trevecca narrowly taking the first set, 25-22.

However, also like the match prior, Tiffin found a groove led by Wakaya Wilson and Alivia Rew. The Dragons jumped out to a six-point lead and extended it to as many as eight in a set two victory which leveled the match.

Trailing 16-14 in the third set, Tiffin rattled off a 7-1 run which was capped by back-to-back kills from Kenedi Goon to take a 21-17 lead. Trevecca battled back to within one but kills by Taylor Peterson and Wilson ended the set 25-22.

With momentum in their favor, the Dragons cruised to a third set victory. The win propels Tiffin into second place in the G-MAC South Division.

Wilson led the team with 11 kills and came on dig shy of a double-double with nine. She was closely followed by Rew and Peterson each with eight kills and Goon with seven. Addison Conti and Clare Kwiatkowski rotated as the two setters, tallying 19 and 16 assists respectively.

Defensively, Olivia Karhoff finished with a team-high 16 digs with Peterson adding 12 and Conti with 11. Kaylee Freund contributed seven total blocks and six kills as well.

The Dragons remain at home for their next match on Wednesday, October 4th against Ashland University who sits above Tiffin in the South Division standings. It will be a Pink Out Match in support of breast cancer awareness.
