Dragons Swept by Cedarville to End Road Stint

Tiffin University (7-6, 2-3 G-MAC) volleyball concluded its 13-match road stint on Tuesday night, suffering a 3-0 (26-24, 25-18, 25-18) defeat to Cedarville.

The Dragons trailed several times throughout the first set but managed to get back into the match on multiple occasions. With their backs against the wall at 24-21, Tiffin managed to score three straight on a kill by Kaylee Freund, a service ace from Katelyn Owens, and another kill by Kenedi Goon. The Dragons dropped the next two points, however, to fall behind 1-0.

Despite hanging with the Yellow Jackets for most of the next two sets, Cedarville utilized two big 9-2 runs in both the third and fourth sets to see off the Dragons and complete the sweep.

Tiffin was led by Goon who recorded 12 kills on .375 hitting for the match. Wakaya Wilson tallied seven kills followed by Freund with five. Addison Conti finished with a game-high 29 assists and added seven digs as well.

Olivia Karhoff and Owens both posted double-digit digs with 11 and 10 respectively. Freund ended with a team-high four total blocks while Alivia Rew finished with three.

The Dragons now return home for the first time this season where they will battle Kentucky Wesleyan in their home-opener on Friday, September 29th at 5 p.m.
