The Tiffin University volleyball team (5-5, 1-1 GMAC) beat GMAC opponent Kentucky Wesleyan 3-1.

Against the Panthers, the Dragons won 25-8, 25-15, 24-26, and 25-18.

TU was on fire to start the game as they cruised through the first set only allowing the visitors to score eight points. Tiffin posted 12 kills with a .455 hitting percentage in the first set to win 25-8.

A closer second set, as the Panthers built a 10-5 lead, but Tiffin responded with a 5-0 run to tie the game at 10. The Dragons outscored Kentucky Wesleyan 15-5 the rest of the set to win set two 25-15.

Tiffin looked to close out the game in three and built a 13-3 lead to start the set. The Panthers never quit and went on a 17-7 run to tie the game at 20-20. The Dragons scored the next three points, but the Panthers rallied to win set three 26-24.

The Panthers started strong in the fourth set, holding a narrow 6-5 lead. Both teams traded points until the Dragons put together a 7-1 run to lead 18-14. The Dragons went on to win the third set 25-18 to grab their first conference win of the season.

The Dragons' offense was led by Wakaya Wilson with 12 kills, a .308 hitting percentage, one service ace, 13 digs, and two block assists, Kenedi Goon recorded nine kills, with a .240 hitting percentage, three digs, two solo blocks, and three block assists, and Taylor Peterson had nine kills, with a .200 hitting percentage, one assist, two digs, and two block assists.

Clare Kwiatkowski registered a team-high 24 assists and had seven digs, and teammate Diana Heitkamp had a team-high 20 digs, five assists, and one service ace.
