Dragon Details:

Tiffin had an interesting couple of games last weekend, as all three of their contests in the Tiffin/Findlay tournament went five sets. Not only that, but the Dragons took 2-0 leads in all three matches, but were unable to hold on for wins in the first two against Indianapolis and Illinois-Springfield before staving off Seton Hill's comeback on Sunday to enter this weekend at 5-6 overall.

The Dragons have had a very good history against Lake Erie, going 11-2 in 13 games, but will be looking to avenge one of those two losses that came in last season's GMAC quarterfinal. Tiffin has never lost a match against Ursuline, taking all four contests.

Tiffin has been very strong in the serving game so far, recording 62 aces while only allowing 39 by opponents. The Dragons are also 17th in the country in attacks per set and 23rd in total kills.

Individually, Jenna Huffman leads the way with 4.79 kills per set, a .262 hitting percentage, 134 digs, eight solo blocks, 22 block assists, and 30 total blocks. She is second in the nation in attacks per set (13.37), points per set (5.45), and total kills (210), while also ranking third in total attacks and kills per set.

Jenna's sister Loryn sets her up for all of the attacks, leading the team with 9.49 assists per set and ranking 21st nationally with 436 total assists. Sam Fallis anchors the back line as libero, pacing the Dragons with 197 digs and 14 aces.

Scouting the Storm:

After dropping nine of their first ten contests, Lake Erie enters the weekend with two wins in a row over Urbana (3-2) and Central State (3-0).

A trio of athletes are between 2.1 and 2.4 kills per set, with freshman Taylor Metzler leading the way at 2.33. She also leads the team with a .261 hitting percentage. Senior Hallie Zumack and redshirt-sophomore Alexandria Becerra have shared setter duties early on, with Zumack recording 5.14 assists per set and Becerra at 4.33 assists per set.

Senior Morgan Briggs and freshman Kaylee Hiser hold up the back line with 4.14 and 4.64 digs per set, respectively. Junior Courtney Rosebrook leads the team with 30 total blocks.

Scouting the Arrows:

Ursuline is off to a slow start in 2019, going winless in their first eight games. They have only been swept in three of those eight, however, with two (Malone and Urbana) going five sets. They will host Cedarville on Friday night before Tiffin visits on Saturday afternoon.

Vikki Henderson leads the team with 2.68 kills per set and Devin Gerth is not too far behind with 2.19 kills per set. Henderson has the edge in hitting percentage at .178, and also leads the team with 13 aces. Regan Nickol handles setting duties for the majority of the time, registering 7.07 assists per set.

Zoe Skinner is tops on the Arrows with 3.19 digs per set. Hannah Hottinger and Jill Morrow are tied for the team lead with 12 blocks apiece.
