Dragons edge Ohio Dominican 3-1

The Tiffin University volleyball team bounced back on Friday night, defeating the Ohio Dominican Panthers 3-1. 

Tiffin started slow, committing seven errors in the 1st set, but were able to down the Panthers 25-17. Ohio Dominican responded in the 2nd set, as Tiffin's sluggish play continued. The Panthers dropped the Dragons 25-18. 

In the 3rd set, Tiffin had to scratch and claw their way through the set, as the Panthers continued to pressure the Dragons. TU, trailing 19-16, outscored the Panthers 9-4 to win the 3rd set 25-23.

In the final set, Tiffin held a slim two point lead before erupting to rout the Panthers 25-13. Tiffin hit at their best in the set, accumulating a .312 hitting percentage with 13 kills and only three attack errors.

Individually, Jenna Huffman pounded 15 kills to lead Tiffin. Huffman added 12 digs and was a wall at the net, totaling six blocks. Olivia Cobb added 12 kills and 8 digs, while Kasey Adelsperger finished with 11 kills.

The win moves the Dragons to 17-11 overall and 7-7 in GLIAC play. Tiffin moves from 10th in the GLIAC to a tie for 8th, which is the final seed for the GLIAC Tournament.
