Women’s Track and Field Finish 8th at the Myrtle Beach Team Bash

The Tiffin University women's track and field squad came in eighth at the Myrtle Beach Team Bash.

Coastal Carolina won the meet with 36 points, easily outdistancing Alcorn State's 16. Tiffin finished with 9 points, just behind Slippery Rock's 10 and Central State's 11.

Brook Boes took first in the shot put with a throw of 13.93 meters and Brittany Devall was sixth with a throw of 12.84 meters. Boes also claimed first in the discus with a mark of 46.30 meters.

Mercedeez Francis was first in the high jump with a mark of 1.76 meters, hitting an NCAA DII Provisional mark, Marisa Gwinner was third with a mark of 1.63 meters, and C'airra Carter came in fifth with a mark of 1.63 meters.

Greta Macadam finished second in the 800 meters with a time of 2:21.17.

Amirah Strauther came in fourth in the 100 hurdles with a time of 14.41.

Rajiah Andrews claimed third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.72.

Julia Springer finished ninth in the 3000-meter race with a time of 11:30.60.
