Dragon Women Sending Seven to Indoor Nationals

Women's Qualifiers Sorted by Team

INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA has announced the official qualifying lists for the Division II Track & Field Championships, and seven members of the Tiffin women's squad will be making the trip to compete in eight events.

The seven qualifiers and eight official entries are the most in the women's program history for Indoor Nationals, with the previous mark of six qualifiers and seven entries coming in 2013.

The seven women heading to Birmingham, Ala. on March 13 and 14 are Rajiah Andrews (60m and 60m hurdles), Keyonna McGill (60m), Marisa Gwinner (high jump), Mercedeez Francis (high jump), Brenda Johnson (shot put), Nicole Berry (shot put), and Jazilee Williams (pentathlon).

The Dragons have been trending upward quickly as of late, earning their first-ever DII top-ten ranking from the USTFCCCA this season, hovering in the 7-13 range for most of the year. Tiffin also had its first-ever female National Champion a season ago, as Gwinner took the outdoor high jump title as a freshman.

Live video links will be on the NCAA's DII Indoor Women's Track & Field page prior to the start of competition, and live results will be at https://results.leonetiming.com/?mid=1982.

A full preview of the championships will be posted on gotiffindragons.com early next week.
