Lady Dragons finish 5th at GLIAC Championships

Tiffin University's women's track and field team finished 5th of 11 teams at the GLIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Ashland, Ohio.

Grand Valley State won the event with 255 points, while Ashland was second with 149. Northern Michigan came in third with 104.5, while Wayne State had 77.83 and the Dragons were next with 51.33.

Tiffin had no champions on day two, but it did have a 2nd place finish and a provisional qualifier in the 4x100 relay, as the team of Blair, Martin-Shuttleworth, Parker, and Holbrook posted a time of 46.80 for the day's best finish.

Kristen Massey got points for TU in both the 100 and 200. She finished 5th in the 100 in 12.08 and 6th in the 200 in 25.08. Brittany Holbrook also finished 8th in the 100.

Emma Gielink finished 6th in the 100 hurdles in 14.46, while Sabrina Chupp also got a 6th place mark in the shot put with 12.72 meters. Hana Mehok also finished 7th in the shot put.

Miaisha Blair took 7th in the triple jump with 11.13, while Dalaney Rogala was 8th in the high jump and the 4x400 relay team also took 8th.
