Tiffin University's women's tennis team dominated the competition at the Northwood Tournament.
The Dragons took on Northwood, Saginaw Valley State, and Wayne State at Midland, Michigan.
Against Northwood, TU won 6 of the 7 singles matches and two of the three doubles matches.
Getting singles wins were Maeva Maxch 6-3, 6-2, Anaelle Lepinay 5-7, 7-5, 10-4, Jemimah Choi 7-5, 5-7, 10-7, Sarah Roy 7-6, 6-4, Carina Avram 7-5, 6-2, and Emily Barrett 6-1, 6-1.
Barrett/Lepinay, Maxch/Avram, and Roy/Choi all won by 8-5 scores.
Against the Cardinals, TU won 5 of the 7 singles matches and 3 of the 4 doubles matches.
Picking up singles wins were Lepinay 6-3, 6-3, Roy 4-6, 6-4, 10-4, Avram 6-4, 7-5, Choi 6-1, 7-5, and Celine Ferron 6-1, 6-3. Maxch also dropped a tough three-set match 4-6, 6-4, 10-4.
In doubles, Barrett/Lepinay won 8-5, Maxch/Avram won 8-4, and Roy/Choi won 8-2. Choi/Ashley Reinhart also lost a close one 8-5.
Against the Warriors, TU won 2 singles matches and 2 of the 3 doubles matches.
Maxch won in singles 6-3, 6-1, while Choi also won 7-5, 7-5. Lepinay lost a tough battle 5-7, 6-3, 10-7, while Barrett also fell 6-4, 6-4.
In doubles, Maxch/Avram won 8-5 and Roy/Choi won 8-2.
