INDIANAPOLIS - Following an undefeated performance on the courts in two matches last week, Tiffin women's tennis sophomore Juliette Sirgant has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week.

In the narrow 4-3 win over Lewis University on Friday, Sirgant won her No. 3 singles match with ease 6-1, 6-4. She followed that by pairing up with Lauren Prince to defeat the Flyers' No. 2 doubles team 6-4.

On Saturday, Sirgant swept her opponent at No. 3 singles 6-0, 6-0 before again teaming with Prince to take the No. 2 doubles match 8-1.

Including the fall season, Sirgant is currently 6-2 on the year in singles action and 6-3 in doubles (all with Prince). 

Sirgant is the second TU women's tennis player to earn a GMAC weekly award this year, as Abbie-Jade Riley received recognition in September.

The Dragons' next scheduled match is set for Feb. 23 at Ferris State.
