Armstrong State beats TU in battle of ranked teams

Tiffin's 42nd-ranked women's tennis team took on #1 ranked Armstrong State (8-1) in a battle of national powers, with the Dragons (15-3) coming up short 8-1.

TU got its lone win on the day in a big upset, as Adel Musina won at second singles over 13th-ranked Diana Stomlega 2-6, 6-1, 10-6. Armstrong dominated the other matches, however, as 28th-ranked Caroline Nelhage fell to 11th ranked Lena Lutzeier 6-0, 6-1. 

TU fell in straight sets in the other singles matches. Emily Sim and Bianca Avram fell by identical 6-1, 6-0 scores, while Aimee Kaye lost 6-0, 6-2. Rachelmary Brozovich fell at sixth singles 6-1, 7-6.

In doubles, the 22nd ranked team of Kaye/Nelhage lost to the 2nd-ranked team of Lutzeier/Stomlega 8-1. Musina/Sim lost in the closest doubles match 8-5, and Avram/Brozovich lost in an 8-0 shutout.
