The Dragons (2-7-5, 2-6-3 G-MAC) earned their second victory of the season against Lake Erie, 1-0, in a battle to remain in postseason contention.

TU's defense stepped up in a big way, allowing just three shots all game long, all of which came in the first half. Meanwhile, the offense kept up unrelenting pressure with a massive 18 total shots.

Both of Lake Erie's shots on target in the match came within the first 20 minutes of play, both of which Malea Nelson saved with ease.

The Dragons put up five shots on target in the first half, however, the Storm goalie did well to save them all to keep the match level at the halftime break.

The deadlock was broken in the 64th minute when Makenna Dreyer opened her goal-scoring account for TU. She cut inside and fired a shot towards the back post which took a deflection off a defender but could not be stopped as it hit the side-netting.

Despite wet and slippery conditions, the defense locked down and did not allow a single shot for the entirety of the second half.

Next up, Tiffin will host Malone on Wednesday, October 25th at 12 p.m. as it continues to push for a spot in the conference playoffs.
