Dragons Picked to Finish 8th in Preseason Poll

The Great Midwest Athletic Conference Coaches' Preseason Poll has selected the Tiffin University women's soccer team to finish eighth this season, as voted on by the league's 13 head coaches.

The Dragons recorded a total of 81 points, tied with Walsh University, and just three points behind Ohio Dominican. Leading the way is last season's conference champions, Ashland, with 156 total points and 11 first-place votes, followed by Cedarville with 147 points and two first-place votes.

Tiffin ended last season with an overall record of 8-8-2 and 6-7-1 in the G-MAC. The Dragons ended the year on a high note after winning three in a row including victories over Malone, Ursuline, and Northwood.

Head Coach Michael Cracas enters his third season at the helm. Last season's eight victories tied the most for the Dragons in the last 10 years.

The women's soccer team kicks off the 2023 season at home against the University of Illinois-Springfield on Thursday, August 31st at 4 p.m.
