Hannaoui Receives All-Conference Nod

INDIANAPOLIS - On Wednesday night, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC) released the 2019 Women's Soccer All-Conference teams, and Tiffin's Leila Hannaoui has received an Honorable Mention honor.

The junior midfielder from Weirton, W.Va. was the glue that held the Dragons together during the season, directing and captaining the squad from the midfield.

Hannaoui recorded one goal and one assist for three points on the year, but her impact was felt in a much larger way than in the stat sheet, setting up the Dragon offense with great ball control and pinpoint passing.

Her assist came in Tiffin's 5-0 win over Alderson Broaddus on Oct. 17, while her goal was in the second game of the season against Lewis. Down 3-2 in the final moments, Hannaoui let loose a laser from well outside the box that found the top right corner of the net, sending the game into overtime.

A total of 35 student-athletes from the conference were named to the three All-GMAC teams, with Kentucky Wesleyan's Madisyn Hunt earning Offensive Player of the Year, Cedarville's Bex Velloney named Defensive Player of the Year, and Findlay head coach Jimmy Walker receiving Coach of the Year.
