Postseason Series Record:

The Dragons and Lakers have matched up twice in the GLIAC Tournament with Grand Valley State winning both matches 2-0.

Last Postseason Matchup:

The Dragons last tangled with the Lakers in the GLIAC Tournament on November 4, 2011. Tiffin fell in that contest as the Lakers went on to win the tournament title.

Unprecedented Dominance:

The Lakers have never lost in the GLIAC Tournament, posting a 25-0-1 record. Over the last five years, the Lakers have played in 13 tournament games, outscoring the opposition 50-1 with the lone goal coming back in 2014.

Streak Buster:

The Lakers had won 15 straight matches prior to their contest with Ferris State on October 27. The Bulldogs shutout the Lakers for only the second time this season, ending their streak of victories.

What a Turnaround:

The Dragons have won eight games this season, as many as they had won the previous three seasons. Tiffin has almost doubled their scoring average from last year, averaging 1.39 goals per game this year. Defensively, Tiffin is allowing almost a half a goal less than in 2016.

How About October:

The Dragons finished the month of October 6-3, posting their first winning month since October of 2012. Of their six victories in the month, three came on the road including a sweep in the U.P. Tiffin has won five of their last six matches, with two victories coming in overtime.

Players To Watch (Tiffin):

Adrianna Currie: The senior leads Tiffin in goals (9), assists (6), and points (24).

Markella Suka: When it has mattered most, Markella has came to the rescue. Suka leads Tiffin in game winning goals with three, including the game winner against Davenport on Tuesday.

Samantha Ortenzi: Tiffin's goalkeeper has 509 career saves, and has been stingy here of late. Ortenzi has two shutouts in her last six games, and in Tiffin's six wins in October she allowed less than a goal per game.

Players To Watch (Grand Valley State):

Gabriella Mencotti: Leading the Lakers and GLIAC in goals (22), Mencotti has scored in 12 of the Lakers' 19 games.

Jennifer Steinaway: The Lakers' goalkeeper has been really good this year, allowing only eight goals. In her last 10 games she has allowed only two goals.
