The Tiffin University women's soccer team has been picked to finish 9th in the GLIAC Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Dragons received 16 points, coming in ahead of Purdue Northwest with 10 points. Tiffin opens their season on August 31, taking on Southern Indiana at the University of Findlay.

The Tiffin University women's soccer team enters 2017 with optimism, returning a roster that features 10 seniors and 10 juniors. Tiffin brings back the majority of their offense, including Leanne Tobin, Svetlana Gudenkova, Taylor Lewis, and Adrianna Currie.

Currie, the lone All-GLIAC performer for Tiffin last year, registered three goals, four assists, and 10 points. Leanne Tobin played and started in all 18 games for the Dragons, totaling five points. Taylor Lewis played and started in every game, firing 27 shots and collecting four points. Svetlana Gudenkova totaled three goals for Tiffin firing 25 shots.

Tiffin goalkeeper Samantha Ortenzi collected 157 saves last season, playing in 16 games for the Dragons. Ortenzi owns Tiffin's single season saves record with 157 last season, and she's now the career all-time leader in saves with 375.

The Dragons open the 2017 season at home against Southern Indiana on August 31. Tiffin stays out of conference for the next four games, and enters GLIAC play on September 15, against Ferris State.
