Collins, Noon take 3rd at ONU Invitational

Tiffin University's men's wrestling team had four placers at the Ohio Northern Invitational.

Jack Collins (133 pounds) and Jake Noon (285) both placed third for the Dragons, while Iran Love (4th at 184) and Kolby Crowe (8th at 174) also posted top finishes.

Collins had just one loss on the day, opening with a pin over Ohio Northern in 5:00 followed by a 10-4 decision over Heidelberg and an 8-6 win over Otterbein. He then fell to Mount St. Joseph 9-3 but bounced back with a pin over Olivet in 1:27. He took the third-place bout by no contest over ONU.

Noon, meanwhile, also fell just once. He opened with three straight pins, beating ONU in 4:55, Adrian in 3:20, and Hiram in 1:53. He then fell to Lycoming in 50 seconds before posting decisions over Ohio Northern 9-1 and Ohio Wesleyan for third place 8-3.

Love had a pin fall victory over Dubuque in 2:19 but then fell to ONU in 3:32. After bouncing back with a 4-1 win over Otterbein, he then fell to Lycoming in 33 seconds.

Crowe's wins were all via fall over Otterbein in 2:09, Muskingum in 1:22, and Adrian in 2:05.

Also getting wins on the day were Christopher Oleksiak (133) by falls over Alma in 1:12 and Adrian in 3:33; Bryson Cole (141) over Otterbein 19-14; and Geraldo Moya (197) by an 8-4 margin over teammate Dylan McCandless.
