Tiffin University completed competition at the GMAC Duals, falling to eventual champion Ashland (ranked 12th) 32-12 and Lake Erie 34-10 before defeating Kentucky Wesleyan 49-0.

Things started well against the Eagles, as TU won the first two bouts. Brandon Mendoza (125) picked up a major win 10-2 while Bryce Allison (133) got a big tech fall win 16-0.

Ashland took control by winning the next seven weight classes. Three of the losses were close decisions, as Matt Zuckerman (141) lost 7-3, Dylan Mansor (157) fell 7-2, and Bryan LaVearn (165) was nipped 5-4. Collin Adkins (149), Kian Thompson (184), and Nicholas Mason (197) lost via falls.

David Henson (285) got TU's final points with a 9-4 victory.

Against Lake Erie, the Dragons could not get a win until their final two weight classes. Mason picked up a pin fall victory in 2:34, while Henson got another strong win 12-1. 

Once again, close decisions went against TU. Allison fell 2-0, Zuckerman dropped an 8-6 decision, and Adkins fell 6-0. LaVearn and Samuel Lofaso (174) fell by pins.

Against the Panthers, TU benefited from 6 forfeits. Henson got a dramatic sudden victory win 4-3, while Mendoza also got a hard fought 8-5 win. Allison picked up a 9-2 victory, and LaVearn picked up a major decision 10-0.
