Tiffin University came in second in the preseason G-MAC Coaches poll, trailing Findlay by one point.
Findlay totaled 18 points with 3 first place votes, while Tiffin was right behind with 17 and 1 first place vote. Lake Erie came in third with 16 points.
Previously, the men's wrestling team was ranked 25th in the nation in the Wrestling Coaches Association Preseason poll.
The Dragons tied Mercyhurst for 25th in the poll, with Lake Erie the only other G-MAC school in the rankings. The Storm were positioned in 14th.
The Dragons also had two grapplers ranked in the top 12 in the region. Giuseppe Penzone was ranked 10th at 125 pounds, while Bryan LaVearn was 6th at 149 pounds.
Penzone finished last year 22-12 overall, while LaVearn was 16-13. LaVearn was a Division II Nationals Qualifier last season at 141 pounds.
The Dragons open their season this weekend at the Ohio Collegiate Open.
