Tiffin University had three wrestlers competing at the NCAA National Wrestling Championships in Cedar Rapids, Iowa March 9.
Only one Dragon posted a win in the opening round, as Trey Grine (149 pounds) grabbed a 9-5 decision over McKendree. He fell in the second round to California Baptist by fall in 4:20 and then fell via fall in his second consolation match in 4:28 to Adams State.
Bryan LaVearn (141 pounds) suffered two losses, falling 12-7 to California Baptist and then losing 16-12 to Maryville.
Chase Boyd (174) also lost his two matches via fall, losing in 2:45 to McKendree before getting pinned in 1:47 by Ohio Valley.
