Grine, Mason place in national rankings

Two Tiffin University wrestlers were ranked in the latest NCAA Division II National Wrestling Coaches poll.

Trey Grine was ranked 9th at 149 pounds, while Nicholas Mason was tabbed 11th at 197 pounds. Overall, the Dragons as a team received votes and are currently ranked 36th.

Grine, who earlier this season was ranked 7th nationally in technical falls, entered the season as the highest ranked Dragon, checking in at 7th at 149 pounds. Trey qualified for nationals last season at 141 pounds and posted a 32-11 record.

Mason, meanwhile, has been strong lately, going 3-0 at the Ranger Duals and picking up wins against 3rd ranked Wisconsin Parkside, 6th ranked McKendree, and 13th ranked Indianapolis. He placed fourth at the Midwest Classic in December.
