Tiffin University had a strong showing at the Ohio Northern Invitational, finishing 2nd of 11 teams and posting 3 champions and 10 placers.

Heidelberg won the invite witih 166 points but TU was right behind with 145. Ohio Northern had 144 points.

Garrett Gray blasted through his field once again, squashing the 285 pound weight class with 4 pins in times of 15, 55, 42, and 100 seconds before winning the title with a 13-5 decision. He was joined by two other champs, as 165 pounder Hayden Bronne and 149 pounder Trey Grine also destroyed their opponents.

Bronne had five straight wins via pin, flattening the field in times of 1:12, 0:30, 3:41, 1:07, and 1:49. His championship victory came at the expense of teammate Richard Screptock, who finished second and only lost via pin in the title to Bronne. Screptock had decision wins by scores of 8-2, 18-1, and 15-0 while also getting a pin in 6:13.

Grine, meanwhile, won by tech falls in four of his five matches. He had wins by scores of 16-0, 16-0, 16-1, 8-0, and 16-0 in a powerful showing.

Hunter Langeloh was 4th at 125 pounds, getting pins in 2:10 and 6:05 while also posting a 16-1 win. Chase Boyd (174) and Jared Chambers (184) both got 5th place placements. Boyd won via pin in 3:54 and 3-2 and won the 5th place match by 5-3 in sudden victory. Chambers, meanwhile, had wins by 14-11 and 10-5 on the day.

Jacob Perry (197) was a 6th place finisher, winning 3-2 and 6-4 in sudden victory before medically forfeiting his fifth place match. Cameron Gessner finished 7th with wins of 4-2, 4-0, and 5-4, while Chase Carter (285) was 8th with wins of 9-7, 5-3 in sudden victory, and 3-2.

Also competing and getting wins were Landon Elliott (10-3 at 125) and Caleb Fry (pins in 1:53 and 1:05, 7-4 at 285).
