Ashland tops Tiffin 12-4

Tiffin University (5-8, 1-3 G-MAC) opened with two quick goals but could not keep up, falling to Ashland 12-4.

Tiffin got an opening goal from Katelyn Jarvis in the 6th minute and followed it up 15 seconds later with a goal by Gabrielle Beals off a Jarvis pass to make it 2-0 midway through the first quarter.

Ashland responded with 10 straight goals, including 7 consecutive goals to close out the first half. 

After holding a 7-2 halftime lead, the Eagles added three more goals before Caylin Kunze scored a goal with 1:42 left in the third quarter. The Dragons got their final goal at 4:30 of the fourth on a free position shot by Jarvis.

Ashland held a huge 34-16 shot edge including 17-9 in the first half. They forced 25 Dragons' turnovers and also won the draws 11-9.

Gabby Wilson led Tiffin with 7 draws and 3 caused turnovers, while Trinity Cleary also had 3 caused turnovers.

Jenay Rennie took the loss in goal, making 15 saves and also grabbing 6 ground balls.
