Big second half leads Dragons to 14-6 win at Lake Erie

Tiffin University (5-4, 1-0 G-MAC) opened its conference season with a 14-6 victory at Lake Erie.

The Dragons benefited from a big second half. After pulling ahead 5-3 at halftime, the Dragons exploded in the third quarter with a 5-1 advantage. TU got two goals from Katelyn Jarvis and solo goals by Caylin Kunze, Gabby Wilson, and Gabrielle Beals. Overall, the Dragons outscored the Storm in the second half 9-3.

TU outshot Lake Erie 27-20 including 9-2 in the third quarter. They also enjoyed success on five of their six free-position shots. They narrowly won the draw control battle 12-10.

Wilson finished with another big game, totaling 4 goals along with 6 draw controls, 4 ground balls, and 3 caused turnovers.

Kunze had 3 goals and an assist, while Beals also had 3 goals and an assist along with 4 ground balls. Jarvis also totaled 3 goals.

Jenay Rennie got the win in goal, making 11 saves over 60 minutes.
