Numerous Dragons occupy All GMAC team

Tiffin University had seven women's lacrosse standouts honored with selection to the 2022 All GMAC team.

Midfielder Daniela Carey was a First Team pick along with attacker Rylee Sutherland and defender Hannah Unkefer.

Earning Second Team selection was goalkeeper Jenay Rennie, defender Tonesty Burt, and midfielder Gabby Wilson, while Third Team honors went to attacker Angela Lulejian.

This marks Carey's second First Team selection, as she ranks fifth in the GMAC in goals and 7th in points. She has scored 100 goals in her career and ranks 9th overall in Tiffin's record book in goals, assists, and points. She led the team in goals and was second in points and ground balls.

This is Sutherland's second All GMAC pick, as she was Second Team in 2021. This year she placed second in the conference in assists, fifth in points, and was 9th in goals. She led the team in assists and points and was second in goals.

Unkefer, meanwhile, earned her first All GMAC selection this season. She tallied 3 goals and an assist from the defender's position while also totaling 23 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

Rennie continued her strong career with her second All GMAC honor in two seasons. She led the GMAC in total saves and saves per game and was 4th in save percentage. Overall she had 160 saves this season.

This also marks Burt's first All GMAC citation. She started all 17 games and had a goal and assist from the defender's position. She also was third on the team with 13 caused turnovers along with 23 ground balls.

Wilson made her mark during her freshman season with all conference selection. She was second in the GMAC in draw controls and 6th overall in ground balls. She led the team in both categories along with 18 caused turnovers, while also posting 21 goals with 8 assists for 29 points.

Lastly, Lulejian earned All GMAC distinction in her debut season with the program. She placed third on the team in goals (28) and points (35).
