Dragons' streak reaches six with GLIAC-opening win

Tiffin University (7-3, 2-0 GLIAC) did nearly everything it wanted to do in their GLIAC opener, streaking past Northern Michigan 20-0.

TU wasted little time getting on the board, getting four goals in the first five minutes from four different players. Kayla Ropos, Morgan Sherley, Elle MacMillan, and Elle Hamilton all scored, with MacMillan and Hamilton also getting assists.

It was all TU from there, as the Dragons amassed a 12-0 halftime lead and were never challenged. They outshot NMU 46-3 in the game, including 29-2 in the first half.

TU forced 27 Wildcats turnovers, causing 17 of them, while picking up 23 ground balls to NMU's 7. TU controlled the ball, committing only 8 turnovers. Tiffin also won the draws 16-6, including 8-1 in the second half.

Tiffin's defense beat up the Wildcats for 60 minutes, with 10 different players combining for 17 caused turnovers. Randi Castner led the way, getting 5 ground balls and 5 caused turnovers. Tiffany Anderson, Tori Nelson, and Maddy Batley also had 2 caused turnovers.

Thirteen different players also scored, with Nelson leading the pack with 3 goals and an assist. Morgan Sherley had 2 goals and 4 assists, while Hamilton, Ropos, and MacMillan all had 2 goals and an assist.
