The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced its second GLIAC Lacrosse Athlete of the Week awards of the 2017 season. This week, the Tiffin University Dragons captured both lacrosse weekly honors. Tiffin freshman midfielder Elle Hamiltonearned GLIAC Offensive Athlete of the Week accolades, while her Tiffin teammate senior defender Randi Castner earned GLIAC Defensive Athlete of the Week honors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Elle Hamilton, Tiffin

Tiffin freshman midfielder Elle Hamilton had a big week in the attacking end for Tiffin. In their one goal loss to Lenior Rhyne, Hamilton netted two goals on two shots and pulled in two draw controls. In Tiffin's victory over Mount Olive, Hamilton started the scoring off and finished with a total of three goals. She also came up with two draws and one caused turnover. 

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Randi Castner, Tiffin

Tiffin senior Randi Castner was a backstop for Tiffin's defense. Against Lenior Rhyne, she came up with three big draw controls. In Tiffin's win against Mount Olive Castner again was a key factor, pulling in two draw controls, chipping in two ground balls, and causing two turnovers. Castner was a driving force in Tiffin's clearing game the entire week.
