Dragons in 11th after opening round of nationals

Tiffin University was tied for 11th place after the first round of the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships held in Eureka, Missouri.

Nova Southeastern was in first place with 284, followed by Findlay and Anderson with identical rounds of 292. TU finished with 303.

Lisa Marie Schumacher had a good opening round, finishing tied for sixth overall with 71. Michaela Lindahl was four strokes behind Schumacher with 75 while Amanda Johansson was next with 76.

Jordan Van Meter (81) and Alexis Savage (84) rounded out the field for TU.

Round two will start on May 17.
