Dragons close in on lead at Saddlebrook Invite

Tiffin University improved by four strokes on day two, narrowing the gap to just one stroke at the Saddlebrook Spring Invitational in Wesley Chapel, Florida.

Tiffin improved from 305 to 301 in round two to total 606, trailing Keiser University's 605. Keiser fell seven strokes off their opening round pace (299-306). Walsh was a distant third with 633 while Northwood was next with 637.

Lisa Marie Schumacher improved from 74 to 72 to take over the top spot with a 146 score, one stroke ahead of the next competitor and three strokes ahead of teammate Alexis Savage, who is at 149 (74-75).

Amanda Johansson stayed consistent with rounds of 78 and 77 for 155 (10th place), while Michaela Lindahl was tied for 11th with 156 (79-77). Jordan Van Meter rounded out the top five for TU with 174 (88-86). 

Tiffin's B squad remained in 14th place and was led by Sophia Compton with 186. Allyson Rosen (209), Natalie Myers (221), and Zoe Wiley (237) rounded out the field for the B team.

Alexis Zimmer also shot 205 competing for the Dragons.
