Dragons win Davenport Invite; Johansson takes medalist

Tiffin University led from start to finish, winning the Davenport Invitational by 11 strokes.

The Dragons finished with a 611 total, shooting 299 in round one and 312 in round two. Most teams experienced the same dropoff on day two, as Wayne State finished 11 strokes back with 622. Lake Superior State was third with 623.

Amanda Johansson took medalist honors, firing a field-best 70 to improve by four strokes on day two for 144. Alice Putoud also showed great consistency, shooting 77-76 for 153 and a 4th place finish.

Emily Koehler, the leader after day one with 72, fell off to 84 on day two but still finished 9th overall with 156. Alexis Savage shot 76-83 for 159, while Bella Harris shot 81-83 for 164.

"I'm very proud of our results from our team this fall," said Head Coach Brittany Davidson. "It was great to have two team wins this fall and also an individual win from Amanda Johnansson. We are looking forward to getting to work in the offseason for an even stronger spring."
