Tiffin University's women's golf team continued their strongest Division II season ever, finishing third at the GLIAC Championships.

The Dragons duplicated their effort from round two, shooting 310 for the second straight day. They finished with a three day total of 939, trailing champion Grand Valley State with 912 and Northern Michigan with 919.

Tiffin was led by the threesome of Alice Putoud, Sarah Herb, and Staci Ludwig. All three finished within three strokes of each other. Ludwig had the strongest round of the tourney for TU, firing a 73, six strokes better than her round two total to finish with 234. Herb chopped five strokes off her first two round totals of 79, shooting 74 to finish with 232. Putoud led TU's golfers over the three days, shooting 231 despite shooting 7 strokes worse in round three (73-80).

Emily Koehler finished with 242 after falling slightly behind her round two performance (79-83), while Melissa Gabriele finished with 253, falling from 79 to 87 on the final day.

The Dragons will now wait to see if they continue play at the NCAA Regional. If selected, it would be the first appearance ever for the women's golf program.
