Tiffin University improved by 24 strokes on day two of the GLIAC vs. GMAC tournament played in Wesley Chapel, Florida, pulling to within 8 strokes of second place.

The Dragons improved from 340 to 316 on day two to finish with 656. They trail Grand Valley State with 616 and Northern Michigan with 648.

Nearly all the Dragons made tremendous strides in their second round. Alice Putoud improved by eight strokes (82-74-156) while Sarah Herb was better by five (83-78-161). Melissa Gabriele had the most gain, improving by 15 strokes (94-79-173). Staci Ludwig held steady with a 167 (82-85).

Emily Koehler shot 185 overall, while Kyla Johnson was at 206. Other TU golfers included Paige Lea (106-96-202) and Brooklyn Keaton (109-105-214).

The tourney will conclude on March 10.
