Dragons fall at Wayne State 87-57

Tiffin University (1-3) fell behind early and could not catch up, losing at Wayne State 87-57.

The Dragons trailed after the first quarter 21-14 as the Warriors outshot Tiffin 50 percent to 40 percent. They expanded on their lead with a 27-16 edge in the second quarter to lead 48-30 at halftime.

Wayne State used a big free throw advantage to expand their lead. Over the second and third quarters, the Warriors connected on 13 of 13 free throw attempts. For the game Wayne State hit 18 of 21 free throws while the Dragons went 4 for 5.

Tiffin's 15 turnovers led to 24 Warriors points, as they held a 24-4 edge in points off turnovers. The Warriors also held a 40-33 rebounding edge.

Tomi Hinkle was the lone Dragons player to reach double figures, finishing with 10 points.

Catara Dejarnette also had 9 points while Kirsten Williams had 8 points. Mahya Lindesmith and Savanah Richards added 6 points each.
