Dragon Details:

As mentioned, Tiffin has won three of their last four, and the Dragons are trying to make a push for the postseason with four games left on the regular-season schedule. According to the new rating system that will be used by the conference to determine playoff seeding, TU is currently seventh after their big win over eighth-place Lake Erie last Saturday, with eight teams making the GMAC Championships.

As a team, the Dragons are second in the GMAC with 40.5 rebounds per game and first with 12.4 offensive boards per game. TU also ranks second in three-point field goal percentage defense at 29.3% and fifth in assist-to-turnover ratio at 0.85.

Aarion Nichols powers Tiffin from the guard position, ranking ninth in the GMAC with 15.0 points per game and ninth with 6.8 rebounds per game. The sophomore is also eighth with 3.3 assists per game.

Brooke Wesner is next in scoring with 8.4 points per game. Freshman Savanah Richards has also come on strong as of late, bringing her scoring average up to 7.0 points per game after four-straight double-digit outings.

Scouting the Chargers:

Hillsdale has hit a rough stretch after the last time they faced Tiffin, losing seven of eight with the only victory coming last Thursday at Trevecca Nazarene.

During that last matchup between the Dragons and Chargers, Hillsdale squeaked out a 62-59 win after TU cut a late seven-point deficit to one with less than a minute remaining. Sydney Anderson led HC with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Nichols had a double-double for Tiffin with 17 points and 11 boards.

Hillsdale leads the conference in both rebounding (42.4 per game) and free-throw shooting (79.8%). Lauren Daffenberg leads the team with 12.7 points per game, followed by Grace Touchette at 11.7 points per game and Anderson at 10.4 points per game.

Scouting the Oilers:

Findlay has also encountered some struggles after their meeting with Tiffin in January, losing four of six, but those four losses have come to the two teams at the top of the GMAC and ranked in the national top-25, Walsh and Kentucky Wesleyan.

That last matchup between the Dragons and Oilers came on Jan. 11, and was nearly identical to the Hillsdale game as TU erased a late deficit to tie the game at 66 with 17 seconds remaining. Tiffin was called for a foul with less than a second on the clock, however, and Findlay's Sydney Kin converted one of two from the line for the win. Kin finished with a game-high 23 points, while Nichols had another double-double for Tiffin with 19 points and 10 boards.

Findlay is also strong in rebounding and free-throw shooting, ranking third in the conference in both at 39.3 boards per game and a free-throw rate of 77.0%. The Oilers are also second in the GMAC in blocks with 3.0 per game and third in steals with 10.48 per outing.

Kin leads the team with 15.7 points per game (tied for sixth in GMAC), 8.0 rebounds per game (third), a 55.6% field goal rate (second), an 82.0 free-throw rate (second), and 1.3 blocks per game (tied for first). Amber Schweiger is second on the team with 9.9 points per game and fourth in the conference with 3.7 assists per game.
