Vogel Signs With Women's Basketball

Payton Vogel has announced her intention to continue her athletic and academic careers at Tiffin University.

Vogel is a 5'9" guard/forward out of Bellevue High School and is from Bellevue, Ohio. In her career, she averaged 9.8 points per game, 7.0 rebounds per game, 4.6 assists per game, and 4.8 steals per game.

"We the coaches feel Tiffin is getting a great player in Payton," said her high school coach, Kory Santoro. "She has been one of our top players for her entire career here at Bellevue and we feel she will be a big addition to Coach Jessie Ivey and staff. She can play multiple positions and comes from a winning program that knows what it takes to win."

During the course of her time at Bellevue, Vogel was named First Team All-SBC and Second Team Division II District 6, is a 1000-point scorer, holds the school steals record at 435 career steals, and holds the assists record with 307 in her career.

"Payton is a winner," said John Cahil, her AAU coach. "She is a quality person and a great teammate. I'm now an even bigger Tiffin fan!"

On why she chose to become a Dragon, Vogel said, "I chose Tiffin because of the highly recommended coaching staff and because it is close to home and my family."

Academically, Vogel has carried a 3.85 GPA through high school, and is currently undecided on her major at Tiffin.
