Light Signs With Women's Basketball

Alivia Light has announced her intention to continue her athletic and academic careers at Tiffin University.

Light is a 5'7" guard out of North Baltimore High School and is from Findlay, Ohio. In her senior season at North Baltimore, Light is currently averaging 17.5 points per game, 5.1 rebounds per game, 7 assists per game, and 4.5 steals per game.

During her high school career, Light is a four-year letterwinner, three-time All-District 7 selection, three-time All-League selection, Special Mention All-State honoree last season, and scored her 1000th career point as a junior.

"Alivia is full of talent and potential," said Cody Pelton, her high school coach at North Baltimore. "What makes her a great player and so coachable is her effort to work hard and always strive to be better than she was the day before. She is a terrific player and person, and I have no doubt she has great things ahead of her to share with her future teammates and coaches."

On why she chose to become a Dragon, Light said, "I chose TU because it's a great school that offers outstanding academics while also offering small class sizes. I really liked the campus, my coaches, and how it's not too far from home. I'm so excited to be a part of the Dragon family!"

Academically, Light intends to major in Exercise Science. In high school, she is a member of Student Council and National Honor Society, as well as receiving recognition on the Honor Roll and an Honors Diploma.
