The Tiffin University women's basketball team will hit the road this evening to take on the Lake Erie College Storm, and then return home for a Saturday afternoon game against Ohio Dominican.

Last Meeting: The Dragons dropped a tight game the last time these two teams played, falling 70-64. The Dragons held a lead at various points throughout the game, but a pair of 13-point quarters held the Dragons back from a home GLIAC victory.

Opponent: Lake Erie College Storm (7-13, 5-9 GLIAC) 4-6 in their last 10 games.

Concerning Margins: Lake Erie has one of the worst rebounding margins in the GLIAC, sitting at -9.1, sitting 14th in the GLIAC and 290th at the NCAA Division II level. The Storm are raking in 33.5 rebounds per game, 14th in the GLIAC.

Players To Watch:

Kayla Gabor: Averaging 19.5 points per game, Gabor leads Lake Erie in minutes per game, and every offensive category. Kayla leads the GLIAC in points per game, and is 18th in the nation.

Christine Dawson: Averaging 12.8 points per game, Dawson is 2nd on the team in rebounds per game, and leads the team in blocks per game.

Last Meeting: The Dragons were beaten by the Panthers 79-65 in Columbus on January 14. In that game, Tiffin suffered a pair of scoring droughts, but their defense was the culprit for defeat, surrendering two quarters of 25 points or more.

Burning The Nets: Ohio Dominican is 2nd in the GLIAC in points per game (73.2), and are 2nd in field goals made per game and attempts per game. 

Vacuuming The Paint: The Panthers are the top rebounding team in the GLIAC, and rank 24th at the national level. ODU is also the best offensive rebounding team in the GLIAC, claiming 14.7 offensive rebounds per game.

Lauren Bates: Averaging 12.7 points per game, Bates leads the Panthers in assists per game and field goal attempts per game.

Madi Rittinger: Averaging 12.4 points per game, Rittinger leads the Panthers in field goal percentage and rebounds per game.

 

Dragons: (5-14, 3-11 GLIAC) 2-8 in their last 10 games.

Raining 3's: Tiffin is the top 3-point team in the GLIAC, leading in 3-point makes per game and attempts per game. 

Find The Stop Gap: Tiffin is allowing opponents to shoot 47% from the field, last in the GLIAC and NCAA. Obviously the high percentage of made shots leads to a high amount of points, as Tiffin is allowing 76.1 points per game, last in the GLIAC.
