Men’s Cross Country Places First at Beaver Dam Invite

The Tiffin University men's cross country team kicked off the new season at the Beaver Dam Invite, hosted by Bluffton University. The Dragons finished in first place out of seven teams with Talel Khalfi leading the way.

Tiffin finished first overall with a total of 29 points, followed by Findlay in second with 56 and Ohio Northern closely behind in third place at 57.

Khalfi was the first to cross the line in the men's 6K with an overall time of 17:59.91. He finished roughly 33 seconds ahead of the second-place runner. Following the freshman was a trio of Dragons with Dalton Gleeson (18:36.97) in fifth, Nathaniel Ondracek (18:42.66) in sixth, and Charles Guigon (18:43.68) in seventh. Rounding out the scoring for Tiffin was Jaden Wimbush with an overall time of 18:50.35.

Additionally, Josh Bishop ended in 17th place out of 111 runners with a total time of 19:09.89. Freshman Brayden O'Brien put in a solid performance in 29th place with a time of 19:55.97 with Chase Drange following just under two seconds behind (19:57.23).

The Dragons will be back in action next weekend when they co-host the Tiffelberg Open on Friday, September 8th.
