Benedict Draghi has been named CoSIDA Academic All District.

Draghi, a thrower for the track and field squad, posted a 3.89 GPA in Accounting and Marketing while qualifying for the NCAA National Championships in the discus.

He was one of only three GMAC men's track and field athletes selected to the squad. He currently ranks 17th in the discus.

The 2021‐22 Academic All‐District® Men's Track & Field / Cross Country Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student‐athletes for their combined performances in the competition realm and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. First‐team Academic All‐District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All‐America® ballot.

First‐, second‐ and third‐team Academic All‐America® honorees will be announced in mid‐June.
