Tiffin Men Dominate Dragon Open

TIFFIN, Ohio - No. 1 Tiffin men's track & field had another impressive showing at the Dragon Open on Saturday, recording a pair of NCAA automatic qualifying marks and seven provisional qualifiers.

Automatic Qualifiers

  • Nikolas Curtiss won the shot put with a throw of 18.67 meters, eighth-best mark in GMAC history
  • Jabari Bennett finished second in the shot put with a heave of 18.53 meters, tied for the 10th-best mark in the GMAC records

Provisional Qualifiers

  • Errik Snell won the 60m Hurdles with a time of 8.21 seconds
  • Elijah Gauldin won the 60m with a time of 6.85 seconds, equalling his personal best
  • Cameron Burrows won the high jump with a height of 2.15 meters
  • Burrows won the pole vault with a mark of 4.84 meters
  • Collin Jasin took second in the pole vault with the same height of 4.84 meters
  • Eric Jackson was third in the shot put with a mark of 17.72 meters
  • Isaiah Allen was fourth in the shot put with a mark of 16.62 meters

  • Distance Medley Relay A squad took first with a time of 10:48.38
  • Nathaniel Ondracek won the mile run with a time of 4:34.54
