Tiffin University's men's outdoor track and field team had another strong showing on their California trip and it paid off, as the Dragons rose to 11th in the latest national rankings.

Angelo State is the top-ranked team in the nation with 163.82 points, followed by Grand Valley State with 149.02 and Colorado Mines with 144.95. TU was 11th with 94.71 and was the highest ranked G-MAC school.   

Tiffin was the preseason favorite to win the G-MAC outdoor championship, and recently finished 3rd at the NCAA Indoor National Championships.

Tiffin is 2nd in the Midwest Region behind the Lakers, and are also tops in the G-MAC. They have numerous Top 10 event squads, with the 100 meters ranked 1st in the nation. The shot put and discus squads are ranked 2nd in the nation, while the hammer (3rd), pole vault (4th), and 110 hurdles (5th) also show great national depth. Long jump comes in 8th overall while 200 meters is 10th.
