TU hits more provisional marks at Miami Invite

Tiffin University hit six NCAA provisional marks at the Miami Redhawk Invitational, as the men's track and field squad had another strong outing.

Davis Bowers won the pole vault, clearing the bar with a provisional mark of 4.90 meters, while Nikolas Curtiss also won the shot put with a provo mark of 17.51. Eric Jackson was right behind, taking 2nd with another NCAA mark of 17.23.

Cameron Burrows hit yet another provisional mark by taking 2nd in the high jump with 2.04 meters, while Jackson also took second in the discus with 51.51 meters and Toryko Grace was 2nd in the hammer throw with 55.34. Both marks were also provisional marks.

TU also had winners in two other events. Stephen Korir won the 3000 steeplechase in 9:23.47, while Robert Taylor won the triple jump with 13.35 meters.

Other standouts for TU included Kerwin Jackson (3rd in 400 hurdles in 56.13), Burrows (3rd in long jump with 6.92), Tyler Stuber (3rd in triple jump with 13.01), Grace (3rd in discus with 49.60), Taylor (4th in long jump), Dana Tenney (4th in triple jump), and Adrian Givens (5th in long jump).
