Jonte Baker and Reginald Thomas continued Tiffin's All American honor roll with their performance in the 100 meters.

To honor the National Runner-up finish by the Men's Indoor Track and Field team at the NCAA Division II National Indoor Championships held at Pittsburg State March 9-10, a Celebration Week will be held from March 12-16 to honor their top accomplishments.

The Dragons were runner-up to Pittsburg State by one point at the championships, continuing a run of excellence over the last three years that has included two NCAA Indoor National Championships and 39 All American Indoor citations over that period.

Today's honorees are Jonte Baker and Reginald Thomas. The duo finished second and third, respectively, in the 60 meter dash at the National Championships.

Baker's 60 time of 6.61 obliterated the school record held by national champion Lamar Hargrove. Entering nationals Baker held the fifth best time in the country with 6.74. That mark also placed him second in the Midwest Region. This marks the second time Baker has earned First Team All American honors, as he finished 3rd at nationals last year. He has also come in second place in the 60 at the GLIAC championships in each of the last two seasons.

Thomas, meanwhile, was right behind Baker with a time of 6.68, topping his own mark of 6.71 that he held entering nationals. That mark was the fourth best in the nation at that point and tops in the Midwest Region. This marks Thomas's third consecutive First Team All American honor, as he has earned the mark in the 60 meter dash in each of the last three seasons. He placed 5th in 2016, 2nd in 2017, and 3rd in 2018. He has also won the last two GLIAC championships in the 60, while also placing 2nd in 2016 and 3rd in 2015.
