Men's Track makes a showing with National Championship selections

Tiffin University's men's track squad have 15 athletes qualified for competition at the NCAA National Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Pittsburg, Kansas March 9-10.

The Dragons, who have won two consecutive NCAA Indoor Championships, will defend their crown with a wide variety of events represented. 

Cameron Burrows leads the way, qualifying in three events - the heptathlon (5240 points), high jump (2.12 m), and long jump (7.35 m). James Ngandu will compete in the 3000 (8:01.61) and 5000 (13:57.54) meters as well.

Reginald Thomas (6.71) and Jonte Baker (6.74) will both compete in the 60 meters, while Eric Jackson (18.04) and Nikolas Curtiss (17.89) will take on the field in the shot put. Thomas will also see action in the 200 meters after posting a time of 21.50.

Davis Bowers earned another field selection with a mark of 5.00 meters in the pole vault, while Toryko Grace also landed a spot in the weight throw (20.66 m). Jalon Monigan (15.37 in triple jump) and Vincent Vogel (7.62 in long jump) also will represent the leapers.

Rounding out the field is Mackenzi Rickman in the 60 hurdles in 7.93, and the 4x400 relay team of Chance Abbitt, Drew Hickman, Shaquille Hildreth, and Michael King in 3:12.99.
