Tiffin University (18-7) qualified for its first-ever NCAA Midwest Regional berth, as the NCAA announced regional competition for the 2021-22 season.

The Dragons, fresh off their GMAC Tournament Championship, will enter as the sixth seed and take on 3rd-seed McKendree (20-2) in Midwest Regional No. 2 held at Indianapolis. The Greyhounds (seeded 2nd) will be taking on No. 7 Davenport in the other contest.

In the Midwest Regional No. 1, top-seeded Wayne State will take on 8th-seed Lewis, while 4th-seed Grand Valley State will tangle with 5th-seed Ferris State.

The team championships have a maximum of 48 teams. The teams will play a single-elimination tournament at 16 regional sites (two to five teams at each site) and the finals site (16-team bracket) to determine the national champion. Sixteen conferences received automatic qualification. The remaining 20 teams were selected on an at-large basis.

The first round of the tournament will be May 9-10 and this year's championship will be May 17-21, at Sanlando Park in Altamonte Springs, Fla.
