Men's Tennis Set For Weekend Showdown With Lewis

The Tiffin University men's tennis team will hit the road for a weekend tilt with GLVC foe Lewis University. The Dragons, coming off a hard fought victory over Hillsdale on Wednesday, will look to make it back-to-back wins.

The Dragons have a 7-6 record entering the match, while the Flyers are 4-5. Head coach Brett Bridal heads into his 9th season with the Flyers and are led by his flyers. Number one player Alan Braschinsky leads the way for Lewis. The junior from Estonia has come off a outstanding 2016-17 season, earning himself a number of honors, including All-GLVC. He finished the year with a record of 15- 10 in singles and 23-3 in doubles. This season Braschinsky has a 11-4 record in singles.

The Dragons look to Nikita Parfenov to continue his outstanding performance from the previous week. Parfenov, a freshman from Cyprus, pulled out a massive point for the Dragons last week, as they picked up a win against Chowan in South Carolina over the break. The Dragons also pulled out a 5-4 win over Hillsdale, winning numerous three set matches for the win. Coach Conley looks to the freshman again this week, lets see if he has what it takes to keep the winning streak going.
