Tiffin University (15-5, 6-2 GLIAC) took on Grand Valley State in a big regional matchup and came up short, falling 6-3 to the Lakers.

Things started poorly for the Dragons in doubles play, as they dropped all three matches. Luis Ludena/Toby Cutting dropped a close one 9-7, while Andrew Isaac/Sorin Navrotchi also lost a close one 8-5. Agustin Mangone/Elio Lezama Perez also fell 8-3 as the Dragons found themselves in a 3-0 hole heading to singles play.

TU got three singles wins. Lezama won 6-3, 6-1 and Navrotchi posted a 6-2, 6-2 straight sets victory, while Mangone pulled out a big three set win 6-2, 6-7, 10-4.

The Dragons could not get wins in their other singles matches, as Ludena fell 6-4, 6-4, Isaac lost 6-2, 7-5, and Cutting fell 6-0, 6-2.
