Jefferson advances to NCAA National meet after qualifying round

Nicholas Jefferson will compete at the NCAA Division II National Championships at IUPUI after making the cut in the pre-qualifying round held at the University of Indianapolis.

Jefferson competed along with 18 other divers looking to land a spot at the championships, which begin Wednesday, March 13. 

All the competitors competed in a six-dive format, with Jefferson finishing 13th in the 3 meter dive with a score of 243.10. He also competed in 1 meter dive, placing 16th with a score of 202.20.

The NCAA DII Swimming & Diving Championships will commence on Wednesday in the IUPUI Natatorium. Prelims will start at 10 a.m. The 3 meter dive competition takes place March 13, while the 1 meter dive will be on Friday, March 15.
